Loss of appetite hashimotos

I increased my thyroxine from 50mcg to 75mcg around 4 weeks ago. The past week I have gradually been losing my appetite every day and just have absolutely no desire to eat at all. Along with this my thyroid is swollen quite badly (it tends to go up and down a lot because of hashimotos). I went to doctor this morning and had bloods taken to check what is going on with my levels but wondered if anyone else has lost their appetite when upping their dose? Wasn't particularly happy with this GP as I asked if perhaps I should have my ferritin checked as it was within range but only about 25 last time and the other GP I saw thought it was a bit low. The one I saw today just dismissed even testing and said it was within range. Feeling worried, fed up and so frustrated with this illness

I have had very little appetite since my thyroidectomy 5 years ago. I was advised eating small frequent meals/snacks would be helpful in stimulating appetite.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. You can increase ferritin by supplementing iron with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Take iron 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.
