The good news is that my endocrinologist says thyroid has returned to normal. However, I have muscle pain and other side effects from the 5mgs Carbimazole that he wants me to remain on until next appointment. In the meantime, I am going on overseas holiday and would like to feel better when away. I am thinking of stopping Carbimazole for the 3 weeks I am away. i have mild leucopenia. Any advice?

Perhaps you could halve your dose to 2.5mg to see whether symptoms improve rather than stop taking it altogether.
