My wife is currently on 50mcg Levo and 10mcg T3 Lio, these are this week's results, which I believe mean she should take more T4, and possibly more T3.

Hi Chrys,

I would increase your wife's Levothyroxine to 75mcg now and perhaps increase T3 to 20mcg in 4 weeks. Hold at 75mcg and 10mcg T3 for 8 weeks and retest before increasing further.

Thyroid antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

Well I guess I'd try more levo first and if the t3 doesn't improve sufficiently in 6-8wks then add a bit of t3. And is she supplementing ferritin? It is quite low.

Yes to all (see results above which will not display in the tabular form as I submitted) except VitD, which she is on 2000iu/day.
