NDT

So taking 1 1/2 grians NDT.1 grian at 0800 and 1/2 grain at 1400.I was on 40mncg of t3 only. one day and 45 mcg the next.I never felt this hot on t3only, I sometimes felt hot ..I just feel so warm ,hot cheeks its as though I really feel the t3 in NDT as though it is super strong.My dose of NDT is I think equal to 40 mcg dose of t3 so do not know why I feel effects so much ,any answers ?

How long have you been on 1.5 grains?

I took 2 1/2 weeks to wean of t3 by adding 1 grain and decreasing by 10 of t3.I then went too ndt 1 1 /4 then 1 and a 1/2 for 2 weeks then raised to 1 3/4 which made me hyper.Back to 1 and 1/2 for another week Idid drop to 1 1/4 for 2 days but felt short of breath and achy.Been on 1 1/2 for a week now.It makes me wonder if NHS t3 was weak.

There's no point in comparing NDT with T3 they're different medications. I would wait until you've been on 1.5 grains NDT for 6 weeks and have a thyroid test including FT3 before changing dose.

I would drop dose slightly to see if it reduces the heat. 1 gr of NDT is around 100mcg of levo (due to the effect of T3) so you are taking 150mcg daily of NDT and were approx 120mcg on T3 only.
