Testing recommendation

Hi all,

I'd really appreciate your recommendation about which company to use to get private blood tests done, and, which package could opt for.

I have been diagnosed hypothyroid for 10 years. Since the birth of my son two years ago, I have been taking 100mcg Levothyroxine. Planning a second child but now I'm more aware of risks to/of pregnancy I want to be confident I am as healthy as I can be.

I've been experiencing the memory fog, migraines, tiredness etc. the past few months. Hopefully just the winter blues, but if rather err on the side of caution.

Recent bloods from GP aren't very insightful - only TSH measured which i think is the 0.4 figure, and, figures 0.27-4.20 follow which I assume is the range.

You will want at the very least TSH, FT4 and FT3. If you don't know whether you have Hashimoto's you can add thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies. It's a good idea to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate too. Blue Horizon Thyroid Plus 11 includes all of the tests. You can compare prices with Medichecks and Genova.

Thank you Clutter. I had started researching those listed websites, but didn't know if there may have been any first hand experiences to help me decide, and, make sure I wasn't being too frivolous in ordering the more costly package!
