symptoms on folic acid

I have been getting some symptoms since starting folic acid and I don't know why. I am getting pins and needles in my fingers and toes. I had my folate level checked and it is now pretty good but my gp wants me to stay on folic acid 5mg once a day because past blood levels have shown folate deficiency. would there be any reason why I would have pins and needles after being on folic acid?

What is your B12 level? Low B12 can cause pins and needles.

thanks my B12 level is 201 (180 - 900) I was supplementing with this but about a week in my eyes felt gritty and I was feeling "dopey"

B12 is very low. I think you should ask for advice about your folate and B12 on healthunlocked.com/pasoc
