I had rai 9 years ago because of graves disease hyperthyroid, now hypo. I have been on 2 1/2 grains thyroid-s for a few months now. 1 1/2 in morning and 1 mid-afternoon. My recent levels...

Tsh 0.682 (range 0.350-4.940)

T4 1.10 (range 0.71-1.85)

T3 3.24 (range 1.45-3.48

I have had horrible hot flashes with profuse sweating, but fill quickly become very cold, with icy cold hands and feet, very dry skin on legs, terrible heart palps and heavy feeling in my chest like i cant breathe, but yet my hair isnt falling out anymore like it did when i was on 1 1/2 grains. I had to stop taking my med for 2 days to have a couple of test run, and to my surprise, i have not been sweating or have had any heart palps or heaviness in my chest. Was i a bit hyperthyroid perhaps?? My doc wants to put me back on t4 only med, however, the tsh, t4 and t3 are the only tests she ever does for me. Im on lifetime B12 and vit D that is fairly leveled off.

If you feel an improvement with your reduction, I'd reduce dose slightly. Sometimes a small adjustment might do the trick which could be your optimum. Just for information:
