Will it affect the tsh of you wait 12 weeks instead of 6 weeks to have blood drawn after increase in medication ?

If yes, will it be lower or higher at 12 weeks?

Anybody know?

lisan1 The idea of having a retest 6-8 weeks after starting Levo or an increase in dose is because it takes 6 weeks to be fully absorbed. Whilst still titrating dose why wait any longer than necessary and prolong the agony if you're not feeling much improvement?

I'm afraid that they won't increase dose since last tsh was 2.8 on 50 mcg and they werent too happy increasing to 75mcg. I assume tsh will have decreased even more now so will have a hard time convincing them to let my try a higher dose. That's why I want tsh to be as high as possible and if that means waiting a couple of more weeks then so be it.

Even if it does affect your TSH, it will not affect how you are feeling - unless, of course we are talking about a TSH above ~ 4 - in which case you want to catch it early if it is trending higher due to a malfunctioning thyroid. If you feel OK, 12 weeks will be fine. If you are feeling ill, the higher the frequency of tests the faster you get better.
