Nutri Thyroid shortage

Hi

This appears to be out of stock. The most information I can get is that it is a manufacturer shortage. No further information.

Does anyone here know any more?

Best,

E

I tried to buy some last week and was told by nutri advanced that the shipment is stuck at US customs. They do not know when they will be getting it. My daughter and I now live in Dubai and have no means of sourcing it here so I'm completely stuck. We will have to stop taking it and I have no idea what to take instead. Seeing the doctor this morning so hopefully she will come up with something! Ever hopeful!!

I ordered 180 tablets on 12/01/17 and on that day it showed the Nutri website as 'in stock'. The order hasn't arrived so I chased it today and found out that my order could not be fulfilled due to no stock. This is so disappointing, I took the very last tablet tonight.

Have tried to source from numerous sites. Same response everywhere. They are saying customs issues. They hoped to resolve in next few months. But I am not hopeful.

I'm in the same situation. My Nutri Adrenal ran out so I ordered NAX instead (which works a lot better for me so that's good!) but now the NAX is out of stock so I am really concerned that I won't be able to get it at all. I also take Nutri Thyroid but still have a bottle left but of course that will run out too.... :/

I am in the same boat, the stockist sent me lamberts ADR but not the same. Does anyone know of a purely adrenal supplemenent? I take vitabiotics neurozan plus so I get a lot of my vitamins from there, plus I take high strength vitamin D, all I really need is the adrenal component of the nutri? any ideas? thanks in advance

Is that site any good? It says it's based in Switzerland but ships from Singapore? They say the postage is included in the price - but surely they would have different costs for different countries? :/

They also state they can't be responsible for what any Customs does .. :/

Have you ordered from this site and actually received the products okay? Ta x

I ordered some and it can quickly from abroad. Was supposed to get the nutri thyroid for first time but had to order this instead so don't know how it compares!

I am also about to run out and now Nutri can't even give me a possible date of arrival in the UK. Stuck in US customs. I am terrified of being without my Nutri Thyroid. What have others done? X

Tried a few things but nothing I can recommend at the moment. Seriously affected by this.

Is there any possibility of a connection with the abstract I just posted?

Think you mean this one.

Yes I have never doubted that there was hormone in there. Thing is it was consistent and worked and being a molecular biologist I was fully aware of what I was letting myself in for. Finding a like for like is a bummer though, even with background knowledge. Almost more for the nutri adrenal than the thyroid as that's more accepted and it's easier to calculate doses.

Using this as my resort as endos making this huge fuss about my tsh supression though my ft4 and ft3 at low end of scale and won't up my dose despite me feeling rubbish with diagnosed hashis (antibidodies, low temps etc). Saw that nice graph you shared a few weeks ago on TSH and FT3 and T4 levels. Very useful, thanks.

Have taken the nyputri adrenal for quite some time. Without it if I take T4 I start having panic attacks - suspect conversion issues. Again fight for them believing it. When I took T3 only they went nuts and insisted I take T4, so without nutri adrenal I am screwed, and I really don't want to take more than should of any substitute as know it's less than ideal being virtually depended on the adrenal supplement.

Feels like a fight all the way. Saw letter to GP describing me as insistent......

I was actually referring to the severe excess of thyroid hormone post you later commented on.

I agree that some of the glandulars do indeed contain active substances. For those, I'd really like to know a) how much; b) how consistent; c) how do they achieve that?

My theory on this is that if the batches always originate from the same location with cattle kept under same conditions, let's say Brazilian cattle planes for sake of argument and the average slaughter size is sufficiently large then you will iron out the variation based on the law of statistics. Of course if you only have a batch of 5 animals, one moment sourced from indoor cattle then next from outdoor in different countries, where environmental factors lead to huge variations in cattle nutriation, vitamin d, activity and stressors before slaughter then of course the thyroid concentrations will be all over the place and the pharmacies will have to work harder to balance that variation leading to inevitable mistakes. Haha you are probably harvesting glands from hypo of hyperthyroid cows or pigs in some instances. Can't imagine intensive farming with antibiotic guzzling supports thyroid health for them either. Bet no one has ever looked for autoantibodies in cows of pigs, a significant piece of work....

The reason the batch sizes probably can't be thousands of animals is likely cost and demand..... pharma companies and biomedical supply companies like Thermofischer scientific own huge huge cattle stocks all over the world for harvesting various products such as serum you need in huge volumes for research. The meat gets sold. God knows what they do with the glands.

To add: of course you need GMP from start to finish of the entire production process...... always the exact same recipe, batch sizes and conditions for every single step from the entire lifecycle of the animal to the tablet in the bottle. In the good old days herd sizes th size we say today would have been sci-fi. Now there is technically the possibility to exploit that in order to reduce variations.

However, one of the reasons we ended up having porcine as the standard for desiccated thyroid was seasonality. Cattle are very seasonal; pigs hardly at all.

Obviously, if they blended powders produced right through the year, they could avoid this - or at least minimise.
