New formulation thyroxine TEVA

Hi everyone. Has anyone noticed theyve put Teva thyroxine meds back on market but its in a new formulatio?n? Why do they keep changing it when we get used to one particular brand?

Yes, Lyn Mynott posted about it in October.

You haven't been used to Teva because it was taken off the market in 2012. Teva has reintroduced a new lactose-free formulation in a wide variety of doses.

Thanks for info. I was used to it then it vanished.Now it's back again.🙄🤔

It was withdrawn because of complaints about inconsistency of dose and manufacturing problems. The reformulation is the only lactose-free Levothyroxine available in the UK so I hope it proves effective.

Thanks clutter I just read the post from October. Will just need to give it a try I guess. But becoming sensitive to all generic thyroxine and gp does nothing about it.
