Progesterone only pills and hypothyroid

I have read that combined BCPs can affect your thyroid due to the extra oestrogen in them. I am hypothyroid and taking progesterone only birth control pills, I wondered if anyone had heard of these pills making an underactive thyroid worse?

SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) should positively correlate with thyroid levels (rising when hyperthyroid and falling when hypothyroid). However, with elevated oestrogen, it raises and may bind thyroid hormone so making it inactive and unavailable for use.

Progesterone can't be taken by mouth, so the birth control pills are progestogens, which are very different from progesterone.

There are various kinds of progestogen, and maybe you can look on the packet to see which sort it is, and then google possible side-effects?
