are these results ok?

Hello,

i was just wondering if you thought these results looked ok?

TSH 0.04, T4 11.5 & T3 4.6

Im on 100mg T4 and 20mg T3 (Thyroxing & Tertroxin)

Still very fatigued so my doctor wants to reduce the T4 to 75mg as she's not sure about the low TSH.. I'm a bit worried about doing this though!

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

Missy93,

There's no problem with suppressed TSH as long as FT3 remains within range. You haven't included ranges so I'm not sure how good FT4 and FT3 are. Reducing dose will lower FT4 and FT3. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.
