I know this is the stupidest thing to say but try not to worry lol.

I doubt they would just let cancer spread and ignore it. It might be cancer but as they can't see yet they can't diagnose it. I bet they are pretty sure this is not that type that spreads violently, otherwise they would not let it just be for that long.

Dawnuk,

Most pituitary tumours are pituitary adenomas, which are benign (non cancerous), slowly growing tumours that start in pituitary tissue cells. They can be microadenomas which are small tumours, less than 1cm in size. Or they can be macroadenomas, which are larger than 1cm.

Some pituitary adenomas produce hormones and are called secretory tumours. Others do not produce hormones and are called non secretory tumours.

The treatment depends on whether your tumour produces hormones or not.

I've had issues on left side headaches. My eyesight has gone from long to short sighted in that left eye. And this growth is left side too. Surely they are linked then

I commented on your other post and gave the link for the pituitary support site on fb and just thought of another helpful site when I was looking for info. Pituitary.org has loads of great info, including doc list, treatment, and other useful info. Like others mentioned most pit tumour are benign and it is common to wait and watch, which I can only imagine how difficult it is to do. On the pit site they also give a list of standard pit blood work to be done, I did mine privately for peace of mind. Good luck and hope you find answers that put your mind at ease, as much as possible. xx
