Unfortunately I do not have my previous results at hand nor can I find my previous posts where I posted up my blood test results, but I wanted to find out if these results which were done in August seem to be okay or something to watch? TSH was 2.8 and my T4 was 12.4.

my dosage was increased from 50mvg to 100mcg on my last blood tests showing 2.98.. one dr considered this a normal reading, the other dr i seen wanted to treat the patient not the figures.. so it all depends on how are you feels?

Kimsey1974,

Your TSH is within normal range but TSH >2.0 indicates your thyroid gland is beginning to struggle. FT4 12.4 would normally be within range but scraping along the bottom if range is 12-22. NHS will usually diagnose hypothyroidism when TSH is over range or FT4 below range. I think you should keep an eye on your FT4 as it close to dropping below range.
