I've been reading about Rhodiola and have come across conflicting views. Some say it's great as it's an Adaptogen and others say it's not the right thing to take as it will cause a crash. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this please?
Many thanks!

It affects different people differently, and the only way to know how it's going to affect you is to try it. But I will say that adaptogens tend to be better at lowering than at raising.
I haven't had an adrenal saliva test for a couple of years, but when cortisol has been tested the results have shown high cortisol.
I've tried Rhodiola quite often. I find that I do okay on it for a short(ish) time, in fact I can actually feel quite energised by it. But eventually I get internal trembling, high anxiety, insomnia.
I don't actually know what the Rhodiola is doing to my cortisol - lowering it or raising it - but whatever it is, I don't like it!
