My TSH level is fine but my T4 is below what it should be is the T4 under normal- a problem?

The blood tests used by doctors were invented along with levothyroxine.

If we add T3 or take NDT, the T3 in it will reduce our T4 level as (in T3 we don't take any T4) and NDT will have a lower T4 too as it contains all the hormones our healthy gland would have produced :)

It's very confusing I guess it is fine as long as I'm feeling good. I didn't check my T3 but TSH is under 2

We didn't expect when diagnosed to try to find our way through a maze in order to get well. We should have options if we are if not improving on levothyroxine.

The fact that you are feeling good means your dose is right for you at present.

This is how we were treated and it was on how the 'patient' improved which was/is the priority.
