Then you need an increase in dose.
I dont see Doctor till Tuesday and I had gotten lab work from Hospital because of my heart rate spiked up 5 times there. And I'm taking Methamozile 10 mg twice a day. Greygoose why would the Doctor increase dose ? Thanks so much.
Because your TSH is much too high. When you are on thyroid hormone replacement, your TSH should be one or under.
BUT... I've just remembered! You're hyper aren't you! So, he should lower your dose because you are now hypo!!! Sorry, I was thinking your were on levo. It would be a kindness to mention things like that when you post.
Sorry that was my bad. Really learning here Greygoose apologize. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto and graves disease... three days ago the ER Doctor said she's never heard of someone having hashimoto and graves at the same time..but I don't know.
There are quite a few people on here who have Graves and Hashis, it's not that rare. But then, some doctors have never heard of T3, so that means nothing.
Didn't they test your FT4 and FT3?
I haven't seen the FT3 but the FT4 came out to .51
What's the range?
It says low next to it...but no range.
Well, it shouldn't be low. Low means you're hypo.
Next time you get a print out of your results, ask for the ranges, too.

Well, l would have thought it's gone up a little too far. But l only have Hashis.
Thanks for information, I thought if it would go up it would level as therapist said, but she doesn't know my results from ER till I show it to her on Tuesday.
I'm in no way an expert, but l can't see how it could level if you're still on the same dose. It will just keep going up, and your Frees going down.
Exactly as I thought also. I noticed the Free did go down from 100 to .52 even tho I don't see a range here on paper.

If I'm going hypo shouldn't I stop having a running heart, if anyone knows ? I'm still taking beta blockers and just 3 days ago I was in ER for a spike of my heart rate 5 times till the medicine kicked in from having it running up( heart) like that.
Don't know what you meaning by a 'running' heart, but if you mean rapid heart beats then that can be a hypo symptom, as well as hyper.

The heart needs just the right amount of thyroid hormone - not too much and not too little!
When I was being treated for Graves - I was on block and replace - you are given carbimazole to block off your thyroid production then it is replaced with thyroxine.
Anyway, every time I needed my thyroxine increased I got all the symptoms of being hyper - pounding heart etc - until my thyroxine was increased. The pounding only stopped when my bloods were in the right place.
First time it happened I was convinced I was becoming hyper again when I was actually becoming very hypo because I was left taking a large dose of carbimazole without regular enough blood tests. So you can have a pounding / racing heart and be hypo.
