Blood result would like your opinion please.

I am still feeling unwell would like your opinion on these blood result please.

bloods done on the 19 August 16 on 100mcg thyroxine

vit b12 310.0 ngl range (211.0-911.0)

tsh 0.18 (0.35-5.5)

folate 6.12 ug/l (>5.38

ferritin serum crp <4mg/l (0.0-6.0)

serum ferritin 56.8 ug/l (10.0-291.0

free t4 19.2pml/l (10.0-19.8)

vit d 45.6 nmol/l

bloods done 20 sept 16 100mcg and 75mcg alternative days

serum tsh 0.67mu/l (0.35-5.5)

serum t4 15.7pmo/l (10.0-19.8)

serum free t3 4.2pmol/l (3.5-6.5

did ask for rt3 but Dr didn't do it no shock there as she was not helpful or sypathetic at all.

rT3 isn't tested by NHS.

I imagine your doctor reduced dose in August because your TSH was low. I think it was a pity because FT4 was within range so you weren't over medicated. If you felt better on 100mcg daily ask for the dose to be reinstated as there is scope to increase FT4 and FT3.

B12 and folate are low in range. I would supplement 1,000mcg methylcobalamin to improve B12 and take a B Complex vitamin. You could take 400mcg folic acid or methylfolate for 3-4 months to raise folate.

Ferritin is optimal >100 so you could supplement iron. Take each iron tablet with 500-1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation.

VitD is optimal 75-200 and most people are fine around 100. Supplement 5,000iu D3 for 2-3 months and then reduce to 5,000iu alternate days.

Take iron and vitamin D 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

Thank you so much for reply really appreciate it, where is the best place to buy b12, I have just bought some b complex from tesco so I will start taking that now. and look into the others.

I buy Jarrows Formula sublingual lozenges from Amazon. Solgar are a good brand too.
