Blood test eosinophils

Hi I have had my blood test results and my Eosinophils = 0.42 ref (0.0 - 0.4), would this be classed as high and is it anything to be concerned about? thanks cat.

If you have one blood test with a "strange" red cell, white cell or platelet result you need to wait 8 weeks and be retested as it could be an erroneous result.

In the case of white cells - which eosinophils are - the levels can be high or low due to infections or one off inflammatory events. Even though you may feel well you may unknowingly actually have been fighting of an infection or been in a stressful situation at/before the time of the test.
