Just heard - Dr P is in hospital

Just heard from the TPAUK Group that Dr P is in hospital. Have never met him but always wanted to become one of his patients and have heard many great things about him. I believe if anyone wants to send cards, letters, flowers etc to his Clinic, the staff will ensure he receives them

This is sad news, I hope he recovers from whatever has caused the problem really soon. I was literally going to ring his office tomorrow to book an appointment after so many people have said how much high regard they hold for this lovely man.

I will send a card even though I have not had the pleasure to meet him yet.

Oh, I'm sorry to read this. I hope he's going to be OK. I did see him once. He was lovely. Just like you'd hope a caring doctor who actually listens to you would be.

Thank you for letting us know. I do hope he's ok. What a fantastic Doctor. He has helped so many people. Let's hope for a speedy recovery. Such a good man.

Oh no! I sure hope he gets well soon. One of the kindest and understanding doctors I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

Sorry to hear this news. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Dr P has devoted his life to helping hypothyroid patients & was fantastic when I saw him 10years ago. Will be thinking about him.....card in post!

So sorry to hear that... I've never met him, but I do have his book 'Your Thyroid and How to Keep it Healthy' and that has been an enormous help to me whenever something has cropped up. In fact, I will consult his book before consulting a GP! I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

This lovely man changed my life 20 years ago, after a horrible endo had told me, "Well, middle-aged ladies do get a bit tired and absent-minded sometimes!" and my GP at the time more or less told me to go away. And I was falling asleep at traffic lights and on the verge of losing my job.

I'm thinking of him, and trust he is getting all the rest and treatment he needs. He is one of the world's uncelebrated heros to so many people.
