Hi I'm here hoping someone can help me with interpreting my lab results. I'm on NDT (2 months) and that's my first results: TSH 0.03 , FT3 6.5, FT4 12.2
THS very low and FT3 slightly high but FT4 on a lower side (norm 12-22) What does it mean? Anyone can help?

If you took NDT before your blood draw the T3 will peak in your blood and give a high FT3 result. If you left 8-12 hours between last dose and blood draw you and FT3 6.5 is over range you are mildly over medicated.
It's quite normal to have low FT4 when taking T3 or NDT. T4 is a storage hormone which converts to T3. Taking NDT means you are getting T3 direct and don't need to store as much T4 as when you were previously taking Levothyroxine. As long as FT3 is good it doesn't matter that FT4 is low.

Thank you for your response Ive started to panic a little bit. My results are great news then. Id never managed to get my TSH below 3 on levothyroxine!
Clutter's right - my ft4 is below range but ft3 upper quartile and tsh low on ndt. I felt back to normal after 6 months on ndt so don't panic if it take a few months
