Experiences of Dr. Paul Ryan Endo, I've heard he prescribes T3 and desiccated thyroid. I'm currently self medicating with 12mcg of T3 and have reduced my levothyroxine from 125mcg to 100mcg since adding the T3. Every G.P I've seen at my surgery is useless and refuses to even test my T3 levels. I'm strongly considering paying for a private consultation with Dr. Paul Ryan to discuss and wondered if anyone had any experience of him before I part with my hard earned cash. Thanks in advance guys

Nikki-morgan,
Few GP practices now test FT3. You can order private thyroid tests from Blue Horizon and Genova via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
A lot of CCGs insist on recommendations from NHS endos before they will let GPs prescribe T3 on NHS. As NDT isn't licensed for UK use it is unlikely you will get it prescribed on the NHS.
In addition to the private consultation fee you will usually have to pay for private thyroid tests and the cost of private prescriptions.
Hi Nikki - Dr Ryan I believe works NHS Medway I think, also privately
at KIMS. Would be real interested if you have seen him since your
post or whether you found out if he does prescribe those Thyroid
Meds please.
