My Endo has changed my carbimazole to propyliouthracil which seems to have some fatal side effects. Can anyone help?

I suppose any drug can have fatal side effects but I'd not heard that about Propylthiouracil (PTU). PTU is prescribed to patients who have adverse reactions to Carbimazole and to pregnant women as it doesn't cross the placenta as Carbimazole dose. PTU is a second choice treatment as it may raise liver enzymes.
