Hello all, I was diagnosticated with Hashimoto's three months ago. Since then, I have been taken Thyroxin 38 mg, but things are going worse and worse! Is there anyone who takes Natural Desiccated Thyroid? What's your experience? And where can I find it here in London? Thank you so much, Nina

Hidden That's a very strange amount of Levo. It's normally micrograms (mcg) not milligrams (mg). Usual starting dose is around 25mcg, 50mcg or sometimes 100mcg.
Can you double check what you're taking? If it's a very low dose then no wonder you're not getting better. You should have been retested after 6-8 weeks and a dose adjustment made, retested after another 6-8 weeks and another dose adjustment, etc., until you feel well.
You can't find it in London you'll need a private prescription most likely.I do well on it, I don't know anyone who doesn't do well on it.
Hi Nina, I changed to NDT 3 months ago and feel much better. I also have hashi's. The biggest thing that has made me feel better is changing my diet. I follow the Auto Immune Protocol diet (AIP). Its a pretty big lifestyle change but essential to get your antibodies down. I get my NDT via a private doctor.
