Hi everyone,
T4 conversion is affected by the level of cortisol inversely, the higher the cortisol level is, the lower is the conversion. Does it make more sense to take T4 medications afternoon or night to allow higher conversion rate?

Only if you haven't eaten or drunk except sips of water, but not alcohol 4 hrs before and don't for 1 hr after - also take your Levo with a Glass of water, not just a sip! So perhaps bedtime is best for you, try it and see.
. I'm not medically qualified but perhaps others on here will respond. You can always read many of the other posts also to discover what others do, but remember we are all different, without or with other health probs and meds.
I suspect it is converted over days rather than hours, so it's already in there at night, being converted possibly more efficiently, but it's also in there in the daytime. When you take it you're just topping up the storage tank, or that is my layperson's understanding.
I read an article or study that levo(t4) is more effective to take at night.
