Is my Son HYpothyroid

My son who has ADD is very thin and I think he may be hypothyroid. I don't seem to be able to convince him that this could be so even though myself and his sister are both Hypothyroid.

Sylvia22 Is your son showing any signs of hypothyroidism? It's not impossible to be thin when hypo but it's more common to have weight gain.

Can you (or him depending on his age) get your GP to do a full thyroid function test considering both you and his sister are hypo. Or you could get him to do a private fingerprick test at home, Blue Horizon do a range of bundles, their Thyroid Plus Eleven covers all thyroid tests plus all important vitamins and minerals.

Thank you Seaside Susie. If he cannot get any joy from his doctor I will pay for the private test.
