Cortisol/ adrenal fatigue.

I've seen people mention these two things on here. Can someone give me a basic explanation of what they are and whether it's worth getting any tests done. I'm on 100mcg Levothyroxine but still have bad aches and stiffness, mainly in my legs. I also get waves of tiredness, but sleep a good 8 hours at night. All my other hypothyroid symptoms have gone so I think i'm probably on the right dose.

Looking at your T3 level i would say you are still under-medicated but wait for someone else to confirm as I'm not an expert. How are all of your vitamin levels doing? Vit D, Ferritin, B12 all need to be optimal. It doesn't sound like an adrenal issue as much as just needing more T3.

I was on 75mcg when I had that blood test a few weeks ago, I asked for the dose to be upped to 100mcg, I'm hoping that will raise my T3. Although I notice that the GP has only put TSH and T4 on my next blood test form.

it may take a while for the new dose to kick in x

U need t3 testing as well, no point just testing tsh and t4 as the docs always do, it wont give you the full picture. Cant remember whether u r at the same surgery as me

No, I'm at central surgery. I think I'll go in and ask for it to be added to the request

I am opposite at Westside. They won't auto test for it either unless I ask but you have to tell them it's a MUST as otherwise, the results are no good to anyone

That was a good article thank you. Not too confusing like most seem to be. Aches and stiffness dont seem to be a symptom of high cortisol, so I doubt I need mine checked.
