No problem. Don't cut, snap. Hold between both forefingers and thumbs with the score mark opposite the thumb nails. Snap in two, then it's easy to snap the halves into quarters.

i cant snap with my fingers they are way too small

Give it a try. You do need thumb nails that are not too short. Keep your thumb nails together and then press on the tablet with your forefingers and the tablet will snap. I must admit my fingers are fairly small, especially for a male. One day when I work out how to do it I will make a video as lots of people ask this question.

OK, sorry. I have used a small sharp knife, like a friut knife. You place the tablet on the table and rest the knife point on the table with the blade just touching the tablet and then lower the knife slightly onto just one side of the tablet. It then splits along the score mark. I usually hold the tablet down between finger and thumb with the knife in my other hand. It's the same principle as glass cutting, you let the tablet split. Don't try to cut the whole tablet, it will crumble, just cut one edge.

mandy72 Are these NHS 20mcg tablets or self-sourced 25mcg ones?

I can easily cut the 25mcg ones into quarters with a Safe & Sound pill cutter the same as this one amazon.co.uk/Safe-Sound-Pil... . Easily and cleanly done as long as you position the pill/half pill (round side to the point of the V) carefully, bring the blade down with a light touch, and blow away any pill dust before repeating.

If it's the 20mcg tablets then I understand they're a bit smaller (and have a score line which my 25mcg ones don't have) and don't know how they'd perform in that particular pill cutter.

Wow that multiple pill cutter is amazing, puts my Boots one to shame. A bit pricey though.

You can crush and mix the pills in a measured amount of water and then shake and take a quarter of the solution. Bit of a faff though.
