Hippowarrior,

TSH is suppressed, FT4 mildly over range and FT3 is in the upper third of range so you appear to be optimally medicated.

Have you had ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate tested? Deficiencies can cause musculoskeletal pain, low mood and fatigue similar to hypothyroid symptoms.

Hi Clutter and thank you

I have not had those tests.

At the risk of sounding like a novice, I take a vit B complex supplement (supposed to help repel biting insects which I'm prone to in the summer and when in the Med). I'm also a red head, we're supposed to be good at making our own Vit D! :)

I don't know what Folate is so I'm gonna go research that.

Hippowarrior,

Folate is B9. It works in tandem with B12. If you have a folate or B12 deficiency there is insufficient B9 or B12 in B Complex to be useful.

"Supposed to be good at making our own Vit D!" doesn't mean your vitD is good :)

Ahh OK thank you.

Yeah it's what the sun brings out in us isn't it, but I read a study that said because redheads are of mainly Celtic descent they've evolved to make their own Vit D because of coming from generally poor weather areas! - I know I'm not explaining that very well or scientifically haha

Hippowarrior,

Interesting article but it doesn't guarantee that your vitD levels are sufficient.
