Parathyroid results high then within normal ranges.

Hello everyone, l desperately need some help, l have been unwell for over two years. Have severe muscle and bone pain. Had several blood tests done and tsh has been falling slowly over the last with still within normal range now at 0.4 Parathyroid keeps going higher than normal range then next test test just comes in at high but normal range of lab results. All my other thyroid tests are within normal range. I feel do awful sone days and yet okay on oothers. I live in the Isle of Man, my doctor who has been brilliant, has requested a Eno appointment for me, Its apparently a very long wait to see one over two years. Olly

Have your calcium levels been checked when parathyroid hormone is checked? Parathyroid glands are completely separate to thyroid gland and are named for their proximity to the thyroid gland. Parathyroid glands regulate levels of calcium and potassium.

Severe muscle and bone pain is often due to low vitamin D. Ask your GP to do a vitD blood test.
