Hi Macker, some of your tests are off. Your AIc is on the high side and glucose is a problem. It seems everyone's folate and B12 are on the low side. Do you supplement? They would probably be higher if you did. Your ferritin should be MUCH higher. Since they work together you should take methylfolate and methylcobalamin. At 2 1/2 grains your FT4 is still low in range and while your FT3 isn't quite as low, it seems they should both be better. There are so many other factors that affect your thyroid results.

I will look at the articles later as i am going out soon. I would like to say thank you for replying i really appreciate it.I supplement at the moment with Vitamin D,B12, gentle iron,Vitamin C and milk thistle to support the liver. Do you think i should increase the dosage of NDT? I will look into taking the two things you suggested. Thanks

The most important question is 'How do you Feel'? and if well you are on a dose that suits. If you still feel you aren't optimum a small increase or two might do the trick.

Heloise has made good comments re your test results.

Although i feel better than i did when on levothyroxine i still don't feel well. Some days are better than others but i still think i have a long way to go to get to optimum health. Thanks for your help.

We feel disappointed when meds don't seem to be working as we hoped but a small increase every two weeks might then hit the spot when you do feel much better.

We have been becoming hypo for many years before being diagnosed so it stands to reason some of us take longer to feel much better.

I hope you feel better soon.
