Hi everyone, so sorry I have thyroid problem, I was diagnosed in 2011, the doc put me on a pill, but I cud not afford it so I went to vitamin shoppe, it is a vitamin store here in Texas, I found the thyroid complex, I have been on it a long time, I went to get another bottle, and they changed it, to thyroid complex with metabolism in it, guessing they thought thyroid automatically says gain weight, so I was little bigger than I have been so I went with it, it is working for me, so if anyone wants to know if it is good, it has been good for me,i have had alot of people tell me that I need to be on a medicine pill for this but, I do not drink, and any drugs, I do not smoke anything, so my question would be if anyone could help, I am having hot flashes and night sweats real bad, if you have had this problem, what would you suggest to help get rid of it

SexyGranny,

If hot flashes and night sweats are due to menopause your doctor may be able prescribe HRT to help. B12 deficiency can also cause night sweats so ask your doctor to test your B12 level.

Sexygranny,

Welcome to our forum and sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.

If you have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism ? ? .. but can't afford the meds to replace the missing hormones, then you will be missing a load and (probably) feeling terrible.

What were you diagnosed with and what meds are you meant to be taking ?

Hot flashes and night sweats can be a symptom of Hashimotos Autoimmune Disease, in which case, if your thyroid hormones are low, you need to replace them.
