Liquid Levothyroxine

Hello, I recently tried 25mcg Levothyroxine mercury tablets, after 10 days I was getting palpitations and mood swings, my GP has now given me the liquid version to see if this works better, does anyone have any experience with this? It is mercury brand too, my GP has told me that side effects with Levothyroxine is almost impossible, is that true?

My endo said that Levothyroxine doesn't cause side effects too. They don't know much. The BTA acknowledges that patients who don't tolerate Levothyroxine need Liothyronine (T3).

Yes it's odd isn't it that doctors said it doesn't cause side effects? I spoke to a pharmacist recently who said that Levo can cause palpitations and surely they know more about pharma than the local GP? Sometimes I feel doctors just don't have a clue and just say anything

Yes I had it as a start. Lol they got t3 and t4 mixed up so ended up on a liquid t4. V sweet sugary and made me itch. When I asked my specialist she said what the xxxx. It's t3 I want u on. The newly qualified doctor had not heard of it!

Yes t3 much better.
