Above high reference limit

Ideal T4 replacement therapy indicated by TSH 0.2-2.0 miu/L

I can not read them my self doctors not normal

Well, if you are already on levothyroxine, you need a considerable dose increase to get your TSH much nearer 1.0. If you're currently on levothyroxine you're either very undermedicated, or keep forgetting to take your pills or you're not absorbing your levo very well.

If you aren't on levo, your doctor should be starting you on it immediately. Does that help?

I am on 50mg of levo if I take more feel ill I get hard pupations fogy head just feel really horrible I have been up and down on my med I was on 100mg and I had to go to A&E fort I was having hart attach

Ok. I'm guessing you're currently pretty run down then? Do you know what your B12, Vit D and ferritin levels are?

It might be you have to raise very slowly. Some people do, unfortunately. Stick with 50mcg for now, and then in a few weeks try 75mcg/50mcg on alternate days.

yes feel a bit run down but can do day to day things but when I was on a high dose could not do nothing. I will try what you said about the levo.

it makes me wonder if you are having an adverse reaction to levo. Your symptoms are similar to those I experienced I felt I couldn't increase my dose from 50 mg to my normal 100 mg without feeling dreadful, headaches foggy head, felt like I had the most awful hangover without having any alcohol.

No I am now on Natural Desicated Thyroid. Problem is that the NHS wan't license it so I, like a lot of other people have had to go to a private doctor to get a prescription for it. Thyroid UK will give you a list of private doctors who will prescribe it and the names of pharmacies who sell it. It isn't that dear to buy but the cost of having to see a private doctor is often quite high. NDT as it's called is the original medication for under active thyroid, Hypothyroidism, and was used from 1892 to 1970 when the drug companies came in and said they had a 'better synthetic version'. needless to say it isn't better. NDT is made from pig glands and natural, not synthetic. It's all down to money, Levothyroxin is cheaper than NDT and the NHS is under funded. But it's leaving people like me in a situation where we end up having to buy our own medication to stay alive. Not good, and there are a lot of people who don't realise that it's Levo that's the problem. Doctors aren't allowed to tell us it's :Levo that's the problem or advise us to go onto NDT. The only other alternative is to be referred to an Endocrinologist and then maybe they will give you T3 if they think it will work. Get in touch with Thyroid UK they have been an enormous help to me.

You need more levothyroxine. The tsh is much too high. No idea if this will work, but it might be worth putting 100 mcg into a bottle of water or squash and then sip it throughout the day. It might help you to not take a load of it. ItS the way I take a different medication.

Alternaltively you could try taking an anti histamine at the same time you take a levothyroxine......

Trial and error i'm afrAid. Are you always taking the same brand? If so, change the brand and see if it helps.

I was taking a 100mg of levo a day for about 2 weeks I had no life that person was not mean I think I would of lost it if I of kept on taking 100mg I felt dizzie brain fog hard to talk to people having like panic attacks all-day and the list go's on

You may well have issues with B12. folate and ferritin which can be remedied with supplements. Did they test antibodies, anti-TPO/anti-TG? If you have results for these, please post them here.

You have hypothyroidism and need to get put on thyroid meds, for life.... Once you start you have to take it forever, been there done that I have been lab tech 20+ yrs

Well it could be that you can't cope with the meds in one go, so dilute them, nit could be that the brand doesn't suit you. So change it and try an antihistamine, it could be that your adrenals can't vope with it, or it vould be that you are lacking in one of the vitamins or minerals which help you to use the levothyroxine. There is no one answer and several of us have made suggestions. You need to work through them and find what suits you. Its far from being an exact science and needs a lot of thinking anout and trial and error. This is why our foctors are so rubbish at dealing with it.

I am on levo 75mg put dort feel that great on that lots foggy brain some dizziness and palpitations and so on once on 100mg felt really bad had to go back to 50mg

Yes Galatea, my doctor also said that high adrenals is the main issue in that kind of problems what Gary19610 has.
