Hello I have now increased my dose to 50mg levo from 4 days at 25mg and have experienced panic attacks, is it possible that this could be related to the higher dose or mere coincidence?

It takes at least 2 weeks for levothyroxine to make any difference.

Hi Steni

If you've only been on levo for 4 days, that's not long enough for the body to adjust. Don't increase so soon. Go back to your previous dose.

It is unfortunate that we have to cope with all of these 'strange' experiences. As gabkad says, as the length of time increases and your dose increases you should feel much better. It takes about 6 weeks to build up in your system.

I'm in the same boat and had this problem before so for this increase my endocrine Dr suggested that I did alternative days with my old dose to my new dose then as I was adjusting went into the full suggested dose..just a easier transition..for me anyway ..good luck..stick with it x
