Hi I've recently been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid. Had an appointment with endo yesterday and he examined my neck front and sides and said one side was swollen. He has arranged for an ultrasound.
Today Ive found a small lump on the back of my neck, under the hairline. I can only feel it when I bend my head down. Does anyone know if they could be connected?

Impossible to guess whether it is connected to the thyroid or whether it is a swollen gland. If the lump persists after a week or so you should see your GP. It won't hurt to mention it to the radiographer doing the ultrasound who may agree to scan it at the same time your throat is scanned.
