Hi folks, I have been on carbimazole tabs now for 12 months and I am not feeling to bad, that is except for my eyes which are continually sore and watery. I have been to the thyroid clinic recently and they have told me that at my age 70 I will have to have radio iodine to eradicate my condition has anybody had this treatment???

Hi Pegasus, I had RAI late 2013 & it worked for me. Like most people who have RAI I am now underactive but with regular blood tests to adjust thyroxine I have been fine.
