Rice bran oil, touted as good for you, but in reality, NOT.

When I was at my Salsa last night, a lady whose hubby, used to be the DJ at the Black Swan in Newcastle, has been unwell for a few years, the docs don't know what is wrong with him.. From her description of his symptoms, it sounds like a motor neurone disorder, which can probably be ameliorated with diet.

Anyway she said that she had been recommended to fry in Rice bran oil, so I have checked it out carefully.  Sounds good on the surface, but further reading shows it up to be very bad, it's rice husk for goodness sake, full of arsenic.  Also the ratio of omega 6: 3, it should be about the same, or more omega 3 to 6, this oil is very high in omega 6, and nearly no omega 3.
