Saying hello

Hi my name is Wendy and I live in Queensland Australia.

I have had Hypothyroidism now for 3 years. I was diagnosed just after I had my gall bladder removed due to pancreatitis. I also have calcium stones in both of my kidneys and I have been told that I have a fatty liver and as well as an enlarged lymph node on the right side of my groin.

I will add more to this later.  But hello for now

Hi wendy, welcome to the forum. I have been on the thyroid site for two months but have found a lot of good advice and support here. Check out the mother site, which is thyroid uk. There is so much information on there that will be useful to you there.

Lovely cat by the way, what's it's name? Have a good day. :-)

Hi StillSearching,Thank you I will check out the mother site sometime today.

My baby girl's name is Jessica. ( Named after Jessica from True Blood)

By the way, I've got a fatty liver too and had my gall bladder out last summer, so you are not alone. :-)

Welcome to the forum, Wendy (and your cute cat).

If you want any advice on thyroid it helps members advise when you include recent blood results with ranges (the figures in brackets after results) and if you say what thyroid medication you are taking and the dose.

Welcome to our forum,

If you want some assistance in any way regarding problems with thyroid hormones just put up a Post.

When you are due a blood test always get the earliest possible, don't eat before the test although you can drink water. Leave about 24 hours between your last dose of levo and the test. Get a print-out of your results, with the ranges, for your own records.

If you've not had B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate tested ask for these as well because we are usually deficient. Everything needs to be at an optimum.
