Has anyone tried this? I bought it on a whim but noticed it has various additional vitamins such as biotin and folic acid. A Google search hasn't produced any useful results... Are the ingredients thyroid friendly?

Ingredients incase pic does not work.

I think I have this in my fridge. I do injections now so I haven't used it in a while. If I remember correctly it was easier on the stomach than capsules, which always make me feel queasy.

Thanks, i might try it if noone else chimes in. Im always weary of trying new things as they mwy cause flare ups.

I'd be really interested to know what others think as I cannot swallow tablets. Thanks for p osting that Em_Lou. 'M'

Darn, it has potassium sorbate in it as a preservative, I have an intolerance to that. Oh well, such is life. 'M'

Sorry to hear that, how did you find out you were allergic and what symptoms do you get?

in reply to Em_Lou

I was under the care of an allergy clinic many years ago and would flush red all over and be driven mad with irritation. It is only an intolerance not full blown anaphylactic allergy reaction.

Hi, thanks for the info reason i ask is because i have an intolerance to something wherby i shake and hands start sweating and have involuntary movements..i cant pinpoint exactly what it is but following a paleo diet has helped. Im glad you found out what your intolerance was.

Em_Lou,

Many hypothyroid people appear to have a polymorphism on their MTHFR gene meaning they can't use the common form of vitamin B12

( cyanocobalamin) and folic acid found in sups.

Taking these sups will make them more ill. There are many different forms of vits and the best are those in a form that they body can easily absorb without having to do any conversion.

I take Methylcobalamin which is a highly bioavailable form of vitamin B12 so easier to utilise and Methylfolate in preference to folic acid. You will also need to take a B complex in addition to the B12. Taking a methylated form of B12 will help your body use the folate.

I use Seeking Health sups. Many members use Jarrows but these are available by Solgar too.

I e been taking it for quite s long time as I have fibro it helps me a lot it was advised by my GP.

I have been taking it and have had no problems. Aparently B12 works in synergy with some of the other B vit and folic acid so thats why a b12 supplement might have them. B vitamins and folic acid should do no harm to a hypo person, they should help.

Folic acid could do harm to anyone because it's not the natural form of B9. You woul probably do better with methyl folate.
