Is it safe to come off levo for NDT with infertility problem.

I have been on levo-50mcg for many years with bad health. I feel better on 1 nutri adrenal extra,3 nutri thyroid.But TSH is reduced to 0.01 with nutri supplements.I want to come off levo to maintain tsh level between 1-2 for fertility.Is it safe before and after pregnancy?.Is there any chance of hypothyroid coming back in future without levo?.

I was taking levo-50 ,1nutri thyroid & 1nutri adrenal extra. TSH is very low 0.01 & had two miscarriage. I have hypo improvements on 3nutri thyroid& 1nutri adrenal extra without levo.Not sure whether it will help for fertility.

Juliatom, It's usually high TSH which causes miscarriage which is why NICE CKS recommend TSH of women planning conception should be in the low-normal range 0.4-2.0.

it's probably better to continue on 50mcg Levothyroxine and reduce NutriThyroid. Levothyroxine dose is usually increased by 25-50mcg when pregnancy is confirmed to ensure good foetal development.

It's definitely safe to take Levothyroxine during pregnancy but you should check whether it is safe to take NutriThyroid and NutriAdrenal during pregnancy.
