I started on carb in June 2015, felt fantastic a month later, then went downhill with joint aches, weight gain (gained masses of weight since hyperthyroid) over the next few months, thought carb wasn't working. Endo appointment kept getting rearranged. Finally had bloods and appointment and I had become so under active I had to stop carb for 2 weeks to give my thyroid a chance to kick in again! Went from 30mg to 10mg before this. Restarted on 5 mg a day. carb actually gets bloods down really quick and problem starts when higher dose is carried on, in my case, too long. Your bloods will reveal everything, and you will probably be reduced again. Chase results up, they are normally with go next day and are waiting for a doctor to look at them, which takes another 3 days in my surgery!

I started on 15 mg of Carbimazole mid October. Went hypo by the 2nd week of December and had the same sort of symptoms as you.

My dosage has been titrated down since then. I have been having monthly blood tests and am now doing fine on a lower dose.
