Just had my latest blood results in from 2/2/16

Tsh <0.03(0.35-4.74)

Ft4 12.8(9-19)

I've been taking 100mcgs levo and 25mcgs T3. This was an 8 week blood test.

Previously on 75mcgs plus 26mcgs T3

Have no idea what's going on

130396, TSH is low and FT4 is low in range as expected when taking T4+T3. We really need to see whether your FT3 has improved.

Have your symptoms improved on your current doses?

They didn't dobft4 although it was put in the form.

I've now got to have another blood test. Soo annoyed I've waited all this time.

I have found out I have high cortisol at 3 points.

A,M tad high

Lunchtime Low

Dinner high

Night high

I still feel anxious and jittery a lot of the times. Almost every day

Still getting hot flushes

Heart pounds hard especially late afternoon and every evening. It's not really fast but hard.

Pulse during day 72-76

Evening 80-84

Finding it really difficult still to get off to sleep.

I have had my beta blocker changed from Beta-prograne 80mg SR to 1.25mg Bisoprolol.

Rose, your FT3 wasn't unduly low last time you were tested although it wasn't optimal. I don't know much about adrenals but it appears hard heart beats and higher evening pulse and insomnia seem to occur when your cortisol is high. Perhaps you could post asking how people treat high cortisol.

Hi Clutter

Last time my ft3 was 3.7(2.6-5.7)

You said I should be aiming for >4.6

Yes according to saliva I have

High a.m 8.45

Low lunchtime 12,45

High dinner 5pm

High 10.25

So that could explain the hard heartbeat.

What about the othet symptoms?

Rose, probably also due to high cortisol.

As I remember FT4 was low in range last time and your GP increased Levothyroxine dose. FT4 is better so FT3 should have increased too but a FT3 result would confirm.

Last time on 75mcgs levo and 25mcgs t3

My tsh was <0.03 same as now

Ft4 11.1 now 12.8

Ft3 3.7 no result now

So ft4 had gone up a bit.

My Dr phoned tonight and said they'll do another test in the morning.

No one would be able to tell anything from those results, so don't feel bad.

FT4 is usually low in range if T3 is being taken as well as Levo.

You need an FT3 result - I'm guessing the lab didn't bother, which is curious given TSH was suppressed.

No they didn't bother even though written on form

How can I know what to do if I don't know the results.

If I felt OK I wouldn't worry but felt rubbish for soooo long.

How much is thyroid and how much could be the adrenals?
