T3 T4 NORMAL BUT TSH IS 32

Please suggest me if t3 & t4 are in normal range but TSH is more than range that is 32 of my wife .she had delivery before 5 months and after delivery she stopped having dose of 75 . And we checked yesterday it was 32 please suggest me about remedies and consequences

Your wife should visit her doctor immediately. There are serious consequences of people stopping thyroid hormones if they've been diagnosed as having hypothyroidism.

Some women develop hypothyroidism for the first time after delivering a baby.

A high TSH (above 5) is indicative of hypothyroidism and your wife's is now 32.

The fact, as I understand it from your post, that your wife stopped taking levothyroxine which was prescribed at 75mcg daily?

It is serious to do so as hypothyroidism is a life-long disease with daily medication and if unmedicated can lead to fatal consequences.

Reshimushtak, TSH rises when T3 and T4 are low. Your wife's T3 and T4 are only within normal range because her high TSH is flogging her thyroid gland to produce hormone. Most people will be euthyroid when TSH is 1.0 with FT4 in the upper quadrant of range, and FT3 in, or towards the top third of range.

Your wife should resume 75mcg Levothyroxine and have a thyroid function test in 6-8 weeks to check the dose is sufficient. If you post the results with ranges (figures in brackets after results) in a new question members will advise.
