Self treat newbie - T3

Hi :)

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on the best place to source T3 please?

My blood results indicate hypothyroid, especially with basal temp & resting pulse being consistently low, although I'm not getting any help through the NHS with it at all. I'm unable to afford going private, hence the self treatment route decision, after many years of being unwell.

My blood test results last year were:

TSH - 1.77 (range: 0.3 - 6)

FT4 - 11.9 (range: 9 - 24)

Full blood count, liver, kidney, glucose - advised all okay.

FT3 - 4.1 (range: 3.5 - 6.5)

Vitamin D - advised okay.

Private tests:

Anti-Thyroidperoxidase Abs: 9.2 <34 klU/L

Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs: 13.9 <115 kU/L

So no indication of Hashimoto's.

Many thanks

  • Sent you Pm.

  • I am not sure if this is the BEST source but it is possible to get T3 from Greece. Google Uni Pharma T3 Greece and you will find their web site. This is my back up plan if my TSH/T4 doc ever takes me off Armour and puts me back on T4 only. - Well, until I find another doc that is.

  • Thank you so much for all your help, that's great of you. I'm sort of in between decisions about which treatment to start on, and whether to keep trying for help with the NHS towards even having a diagnosis. It can all be quite overwhelming!

This information is really a great help though, thanks again.

    Best wishes
