If I take my Levothyroxine at night what would be the best time to take my liothyronine ,I rotate 75 levo and about 7 mcg and 50levo and 10mcg in daytime at moment ,I take the T 3 away from the levo as it makes me feel unwell ,I find I am so tired in morning even though I take levo at 6 am I just can't get out off bed . I don't need higher dose at moment as I feel worse so trying to work out the best timing and I do divide the T3 as in 5 mcg and then the other half 2.5 later same as I take 5mcg and other 5mcg about 4 hrs later ,any advice please as feel I would be better taking levo that bedtime and let it work for me for morning .

Maggiemay, Levothyroxine taken at night is unlikely to give you a morning boost as it takes days to absorb and metabolise. It can work more efficiently at night over the long term. It might be better to take 5mcg T3 at bedtime and the second dose in the morning and Levothyroxine later in the day.

I thought if I take T 3 at night that it works quicker than Levothyroxine so it would keep me awake and by the morning it would have loss the best off its energy boost

Maggiemay, some people do find T3 keeps them awake when taken late in the day but others find T3 taken at bedtime improves sleep. If it disturbs your sleep go back to taking it during the day. I take my first dose of T3 with Levothyroxine in the morning and the 2nd dose T3 at night.

T3 doesn't act as a pick me up or energy boost. It will be out of the blood in around 6 hours but then goes on to work in the cells over the next 2-3 days.
