Question on Borderline

TSH 1.47

Free T4 11.1

Dr suggested i/m borderline hypo. I have has these same results for 10 years or so. Started a trial of levothyroxne last week and didn't feel well at all, today Dr told me to stop them and see how I feel. Did this happen to anyone else before.

Goldilocks2940, Some people do feel worse at first, especially when they've been hypothyroid for a long time. Try halving the dose for a week or two to get used to it and then increase to the full daily dose.

Thanks for your comment, might just take 1 every other day and see if that works for a week or 2. My dose is only 25 mcg so dr said I shouldnt have felt like this. He suggested I quit for a few days and see if I feel any different...

Goldilocks2940, Probably the best 25mcg to be on as it has less fillers than Mercury Pharma 25mcg.

ok, can i ask what are fillers? I have cried every day for a full week on this, very like depression.

Goldilocks, fillers are ingredients which bind the active hormone and allow it to be evenly spread in tablet form.

If you can ride through the symptoms for a while longer they will usually pass within a couple of weeks.

Also, too low a dose can make us feel worse.
