Hello fairy eyes,

It is great news that you have seen such an improvement.

To continue on the road to recovery you need to keep working on nutrient and iron levels as optimal will bring about better thyroid synthesis.

Do not diet until thyroid hormones are balanced as a high TSH will not allow weight loss. Eat a balanced diet with fats, carbs & protein to keep blood sugar levels balanced and prevent insulin spikes.

Supplement selenium known to help with T4-T3 conversion.

Address any gut issues such as low stomach acid, candida or gut dysbiosis.

It is important to take your pill on an empty stomach with a glass of water, 1 hour before food, 2 hours before supplements and 4 hours before calcium, iron or vit D supplements.

I take several supplements. Vit B12 is an important one, selenium as has already been mentioned, Magnesium (I use a spray), I also take fish oils for my joints which have been sore since becoming Hypo, vit B complex, digestive enzymes (I have IBS too) probiotic and iron as I have low ferritin levels. I think I may start to rattle soon!!!But I am currently feeling the best I've felt since becoming hypo at the beginning of this year so if it works I don't mind!

Perhaps 75 mcg. of Levo is helping make improvements for now but there are so many things that could be useful in insuring you continue improving. There is a full range of blood tests which your ferritin may have been one that was very low.

There are other cofactors especially cortisol and glucose that should be looked at as well. And then diet may be involved so staying away from gluten or vegetables in the cabbage family should not be eaten raw. There are also the toxins that ruin thyroid function like fluoride, bromine and chlorine.

This is an all encompassing problem from so many angles but thyroid health is so vital, you really should strive to take the measures that keep your metabolism running smoothly. Your brain is also very involved.
