I have just ordered selenomethionine form selenium,as recommended by Dr Alyssa in the TUK members magasine.Pm me if you want my supplier details.

I take B6,B12 & folate in the methyl form now.

Have you had a 23&me gene test?

Hi I eat 4 brazil nuts a day for my selennium which makes about 200 mcg daily, well enough, you can take up to 400, helps with the conversion of T4 to T3, and I need all the help that I can get, but thankfully my self-medicating with T3 works really well.

Just had a quick read about this, seems that copper is high, and you should detox with vitamin c, and zinc lowers your copper level, I take a zinc supplement everyday. Probably not as easy as that though, I have never encountered this. Take care Veronica

Hello, thanks for the advice! I also take a zinc supplement every day in the form of either zinc citrate or zinc picolinate. I think one should keep track and re-test every 3-6 months to check selenium/zinc levels..With which lab could I retest them?

I'm afraid with selenium one can easily go overboard....I'm not so much into brazil nuts as I find them hard for my teeth and difficult to digest...Maybe I should either soak or grind them....Take care
