Good morning. I was on 300 mcg of levothyroxine but it did not work. I am trying T3, adding it to a reduced dose of T4. I began on 250 mcg of T4, with 10 mcg of T3, (5 plus 5). I was brilliant for five days, even went for a gentle walk, an unheard of thing! But on Day 6 I began to feel the old familiar tiredness creeping and now on Day 7 I feel back to square one.
Does anyone think I have gone too quickly? Or taken too much T3? Or not enough? Or got the combination wrong?
I am very grateful for the help I have been given in the last by this forum. Thank you.

Joeyis7, 10mcg T3 is equivalent to 30mcg T4, so by reducing 50mcg T4 you may be slightly undermedicated. It was fine while the higher dose T4 was washing out but you probably need another 10mcg T3 now it has.
